The people behind Binomio consists of a team of hardworking, dedicated staff that have come together from various nationalities and backgrounds to help make Binomio the successful and happening place that it is today. In the kitchen a team of 10 chefs, 5 of whom are Spanish, lend their skills to the authenticity of the dishes that are sent out.
General Manager Eduardo Ortega has extensive international service experience that ranges over 15 years in 5 different countries. This includes working in several renowned restaurants helmed by celebrity and Michelin awarded chefs such as Michel Rostang and Santi Santamaria at the Atlantis Hotel, The Palm Jumeriah Dubai, Gotz Rothaker at the Konigshof in Munich, Heinz Winkler at Lido in Andalusia, as well as restaurants in prestigious hotels such as the Ritz Carlton in Marbella and St Regis in Singapore.
Mr. Asifur Chowdhury, a businessman from the shipping industry, became a great admirer of Spanish cuisine and culture over his frequent business trips to Madrid and various parts of Spain over the last decade. This appreciation sparked a desire within him to open a Spanish Restaurant in Singapore to bring these tastes closer to home.
Mr. Chowdhury felt that Singapore, being a cosmopolitan city, would appreciate a restaurant that served authentic Spanish cuisine in a contemporary setting that also exuded the exquisite warmth of Spain. With Executive Chef Jose Alonso at the helm, Mr. Chowdhury was confident that Binomio Spanish Restaurante would be able to attract the multicultural people of Singapore.
